Marg Helgenberger was an American actress best known for her role on 'Ryan's Hope', in which she played the character of Siobhan Ryan. The small-town girl's journey to Hollywood was quite amazing. At first, her goal was never to become an actor. As a young girl she didn't have any ambitions of becoming an actress. However, it was her desire to emulate the example of her mother and to pursue a career in nursing. When she was visiting colleges to decide on the program she would like to pursue and she started to become attracted to being an actor. While performing in a college play, she was spotted by a talent scout who suggested she consider an acting career in the professional realm. After a stint in the film 'Ryan's hope', she bagged "China Beach," among other noteworthy film and TV role, and established her standing as an actress. Her most acclaim parts was the portrayal of an exposure victim to chemicals in the cult film "Erin's Brockovich'. Marg has a busy schedule however she manages to make enough time to engage in charitable work. Every year, she holds an event for celebrities to help raise money for the research into breast cancer.
